If you are getting ready to stage your home for sale, or if you’re just looking to add a bit of color to your space, you don’t need to paint the entire room to create a whole new look!

There are so many ways to improve a rooms appeal, but here are our 4 top tips to add color without having to paint the walls.

#1 – Accessories – Lamps, vases and other accessories can be simple and as colorful as you’d like.  From the latest neutrals to bold pops of color,
you can experiment with a few different pieces to find the style you love. Planters are another great way to brighten a room!

#2 – Artwork – Artwork can be used to bring in a new color scheme, or serve as a focal point.  If you are selling your home, it’s always best to refrain from any artwork that is religious in nature, or any statement pieces might not appeal to a home buyer.  I find a lot of great pieces at Kirklands and HomeGoods. You don’t have to spend a fortune to find some really nice pieces.

#3 – Rugs – A nice, colorful rug can center a room as well as provide the new color scheme you are looking for. Bold and bright, solids or stripes, there are a lot of choices to make. If you’re like me and need to see, touch and feel the product before you buy it, try Home Depot or Lowes.  I’ve found some great rugs at both of these stores, and they were reasonably priced.

#4 –   Furniture – One of the hottest trends right now is painted furniture.  A single piece that has been painted nicely, can change your entire room. If you’ve never tried painting furniture before, I found a great tutorial from HGTV that you can find on their website.
